    Get in the Wind, LLC is the home of the original Windfeather.

They continue to make banners and flags that utilize full appliqué along with many other complicated designs. After moving to computerized laser cut versions of appliqué, there was so much that Get in the Wind simply could not do without a way to print on fabric. Once they found a direct to fabric print method that gave them sufficient penetration, they knew they were ready for an inkjet purchase.

With the addition of a Mimaki digital printer from ITNH, the opportunities became endless. Get it the Wind could now match nearly any color and offer outstanding photographic detail to each new design. No longer would they be limited to the existing colors that their carriers supplied, but could now secure numerous jobs that they could not have gotten without the ability to print digitally. Due to Get in the Wind's amazingly quick turnaround, sometimes in less than 6 hours from start to finish they got jobs that many other shops could not handle. In this industry, that is way beyond unheard of, but the right talent with the right tools can work miracles.

Most of the staff at Get in the Wind has an extensive background in the theatre, which means incredible skills at problem solving and innovation. Throw in a Mimaki fabric printer, and almost anything is possible. Recently Get in the Wind had a local owner of one of our national franchise accounts ask us if they could help design and create a Christmas parade float. It was no Problem for them. They used their print abilities to create framed side panels that carried their promotional messages and contact info. They even printed full graphic panels that they attached to the staging platforms and then polyurethane to give them a totally professional look. Custom t-shirts were also created with their printer and a buck press was used to finish it off. The whole project from bare trailer to parade float was completed in just three days for about a tenth of what our customer would expect to pay for a complete parade float!
